The Community Road Empowerment (CORE Uganda), is an international NGO registered in Japan (2007) and Uganda (2018). The main activity is to train people to repair the feeder road using “Do-nou” technology developed by CORE. In addition, the technology is used to improve the community’s agriculture production and to conserve the environment for poverty and hunger eradication. CORE organizes a wide range of self-help projects and community development activities in ensuring that people are empowered and improve their own living standards.

CORE’s vision is “ensuring a world free of poverty and hunger for better livelihood” and its mission is “to empower farmers and youth to be self-reliant, to self-develop and to self-market”. As such, COREs objective is to 'give youth and the community as a whole a chance to help themselves. The Organization uses road maintenance in an innovative and effective way to get the community involved in helping themselves. Over the years the organization has expanded its activities to include environmental projects and horticulture.
