While Uganda has worked hard in recent years to meet the health care needs of its population, many pressing challenges remain.

URC has been providing global leadership for health care improvement in Uganda beginning in 1990, first with the Quality Assurance Project I, II, and III, and then in 2007 with PEPFAR funding through the Health Care Improvement Project, which supported the Ministry of Health’s initiative to fight HIV.
