Food for the Hungry (FH/U) is a Christian international relief and development organization that has been working in Uganda since 1989. FH is currently operating programs in Asia, Latin America, and Africa with support offices in the UK, Canada, Switzerland, United States of America, and Japan. FH's primary goal is to end all forms of poverty World-wide. In Uganda, FH is operational in the Districts of Adjumani, Kitgum, Lamwo, Kween, Mbale, Namutumba, and Amudat Districts implementing programs in four main sectors of Education; Food Security and Livelihoods; Health/Nutrition and Disaster Risk Reduction, with the Head office located in Kampala.

Job Title: Community Development Facilitator- Health and Nutrition
Position Type: Full Time National Staff
Location: Adjumani
Reports to: Program Area Manager
Contract Length: 2 years (Fixed) Start Date: 1st October
Position Summary:
The CDF- Health & Nutrition is responsible for supporting all health and nutrition activities within the cluster. In addition to the specific duties outlined below, the CDF- Health & Nutrition will be responsible for providing technical support and supervision to the health volunteer teams, contributing to reporting and data collection, initiating leading monitoring visits to supported facilities, and providing technical input, writing and budgetary input for new program design.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree/diploma in Health-related sector, Food science, Nutrition and relevant work experience
  •  A minimum of four (4) years' practical experience working in communities with Health and Nutrition practices and experience. Previous work in a refugee context is an added advantage.
  •  Must possess a valid driving permit and be able to ride a Motorbike
